Christened by its namesake, President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Roosevelt Hall is one of the college's original buildings. It is home to the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts, the student newspapers and the Health Clinic, which offers free unlimited visits to Brooklyn College students. It will also act as the temporary home of the Conservatory of Music and the Theater Department while a new performing arts center is constructed. Eventually, Roosevelt Hall will be the site for the largest science center within the CUNY system.
